Automóvil Club Argentino
Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA) is the leading Argentinean company in providing automobile services for more than 100 years. It has over 300.000 members throughout the country, possesses a wide net of service stations and provides mechanical assistance, road education, insurance and traveler assistance among other services related to tourism and transport in general.
Mentoring and Coaching on UML, EA, J2EE and Scrum
Epidata Consulting participated in the technology migration to Java/J2EE platform. As part of this project, Epidata Consulting trained the ACA developing group on UML modeling, Enterprise Architect tool and developing language Java and its frameworks.
The training was carried out in different stages:
• In the first stage, the whole group was trained on themes related to modeling, design and general conception of Object-Oriented Systems.
• In the second stage, the group was divided according to their technical abilities and their roles within the project focusing the contents of the course according to the different practices of software engineering.
• Besides, Epidata Consulting trained the developing group on Java/J2EE technologies contributing to the definition of the software architecture and the technological platform of the new software.
• In the third stage of this training plan, a part of the system aimed at the architecture evolutive testing and prototyping was created. This part of the system is functional and productive.
During all the stages, Epidata Consulting participated in the project in an active and devoting way, committing itself with the client’s needs and schedule, providing coaching and training during all the stages of the software development process, from its creation to its deployment and subsequent maintenance.
Architecture Definition
In order to fulfill the technological migration and upgrading project, Epidata Consulting took part in the definition of the software architecture and the technological platform of the new system. The historical context of the Automóbil Club Argentino and its future business necessities –which include the permanent generation of value for its customers- were taken into account in the definition of the new system.
