RUAT

RUAT (Unique Register for the Municipal Tributary Administration) is the Bolivian state organisation that takes care of designing, developing and administrating IT systems that allow for the compliance of the tributary attributions with the municipal governments, the ministry of economics and the Bolivian national police.

Training, Mentoring and Consulting in Oracle
Epidata Consulting took charge of a training and consulting project with the RUAT of Bolivia, regarding BEA/Oracle technologies. These projects mark an expansion process that the organsation is taking to reach new municipalities, which implies a considerable growth in the volume of data processed, and the quantity of users that will be using their IT systems.

Epidata Consulting travelled to the capital city La Paz to give courses of Methodology Troubleshooting and WebLogic Server 8.1 Performance Tuning to different team members of development and infrastructure of the RUAT.

Also, Epidata offered a service of eMentoring, which serves not only to eradicate all doubt and address the queries of the IT teams, but also to optimise their existing environments and to leave an established tuning process.

As an added value, through a software architecture assessment, Epidata Consulting created a reference architecture draft to be used as much in new developments as in the current systems. As a complement, it offered a training course in Enterprise Architect Patterns.

The offered services allowed the RUAT IT teams to obtain knowledge of WebLogic Server and the architecture of business applications, which are applied as much in the evolutive maintenance of the current systems as much as in the new developments, enabling them to take full advantage of the available environments.
