The process of Epidata Software Architecture Assessment includes activities of analisys and compilement, that allow us to do a comprehensive evaluation of the architectures and to obtain precise and strategic results. At the end of the Assessment well-defined deliverables are obtained which have detailed information that make it possible to align IT strategy with your business plan.
Stage I:
Compiling – Current situation analysis and future vision definition
This stage consists of compiling different aspects of the company and its current architecture, in order to understand the technological, organizational and commercial situation of the company and, in this way, be able to define the target architecture that best align to the context.
In this first stage the client will do, through ArchAdvisor, an online partial self-assessment that will allow him to analyze characteristics of its architecture.
Stage II:
Diagnostic - Gap analysis
At this diagnostic stage an Epidata Consulting’s architect personally intervenes with the client. This one is a more comprehensive assessment that begins with the self-assessment results and focuses on the analysis of the difference between the current situation and the future vision, with the aim of identifying and prioritizing the existing enhancement opportunities. ArchAdvisor centralizes the information compiled in this stage, facilitating the analysis and the implementation of the diagnostic.
Stage III:
Recommendations – Roadmap building
At this stage results, recommendations and identified risks are presented through deliverables.
These display the virtues and vulnerabilities of architecture together with the recommendations of actions to be taken in each particular stage.
ArchAdvisor optimizes and speeds report generation up; allows to have complete reports based on all the documents that form the assessment process. At this stage objectives are defined and also resources needed to reach those objectives.
